Erebus & Terror: Another of the bar stories: The Erebus & Terror were two ex-Royal British Naval ships. The ships were skippered by ex-Governor of Tasmania, Sir John Franklin on the ill fated 1845 expedition in search of a new trade route over the North West passage. The two ships were painted black and gold for high visibility; and fitted with steam train engines. Soon after embarking they became ice bound and the starving crew resorted to cannibalism. There were no survivors and 130 men perished.
Though he was uncredited, Steve Albini was behind the boards on this noise rock classic from the forever feral Jesus Lizard. Bandcamp New & Notable May 8, 2024
